This Course deals with the beginnings of the Ottoman Sultanate and its expansion into Europe. It includes the reaction of the various European powers plus the Ottoman advent into Europe. It follows the European intervention in the internal affairs of the Ottoman Empire , later, referred to as the sick man of Europe. It concludes with the break of the First world War.
